Have you ever had an experience where you were working on something or having a physical experience and the self talk in your head was telling you to quit or give up? Have you ever felt like you are not smart enough or strong enough? I am not sure why that wall is there. Many times I have read and written walls are put up to keep the people out that don't want it bad enough. I know you get stronger and smarter by pushing past that voice and performing regardless of what it says. When those thoughts come (and they come to us all) replace them with positive self talk. Try switching it up just a little from "I'm not smart enough" to "I don't have all the facts yet but I am researching them now" or "I'm not strong enough" to "I can do this one step at a time". When you break it down to stages and look back you will find you are incredibly smarter and stronger than that voice in your head ever believed. Smash the mental wall. Love Always - Coach J What does prayer mean to you? Is it a repeated set of words? Is it deep concentration and stillness? I offer that prayer simply be a connection to your source. A refresher and renewal of your call to action. If your parent gave you a set of directions to accomplish the family mission and you stopped to check in do you think it would be refreshing if you found out there was a more efficient way of moving forward with your task? Why would you wait until your work is done to see if there is another way or if you are on the right path. There are many distractions in daily life. Check in and reset for clarity and peace of mind. Love Always - Coach J The title of the picture says "Mother Natures Treadmill". What fuel do you feed your body? Is it balanced and refreshed? What fuel do you feed your mind? Is it insightful and refreshing? Do the things you take into your body and mind inspire you? Inspire means to fill with spirit. You do not have a spirit. You are a spirit. Feed it. Do not dampen or hide it with poor choices that muddy your connection to it. Cleanse the connection and shine with brilliance. The first place to start is the fuel you feed your body and mind. Love Always - Coach J Yesterday teaching my youngest son about giving we were going through clothes that he had outgrown that we would donate. As I looked around his room I knew it was time for him to learn to part with some of the toys he has accumulated. As I laid out his impressive hot wheels collection I had two show boxes, one for "other kids" and one for him. He lined all the cars up and started slow at first picking up one car and talking about it then deciding if he would give it away or not. As he placed the first car in the giving box he began to move rapidly through all of the cars and before I knew what was happening all of them were in the giving box. I figured he misunderstood so I explained that he was giving them all away to other kids, to which he said "Okay". So I went through this scenario a few more times going as far as asking about specific cars "Are you sure you don't want to keep this one?" and he would say no. I found my lesson to him end up being one for me. My giving heart had a limit and his did not. Care for what you teach your children as they will take it and multiply the lesson. Love Always - Coach J Everyday is your own personal masterpiece. Every moment is a stroke on the canvas of the picture you paint. Some days are a distorted mass of twisted grays. Others are vivid scenery of bright colors and invigorating light. In the midst of painting your day stop and reflect what color is in your hand and what picture you are painting. You can always choose to stop and pick another color. To beautiful lifetimes and the picture left behind that you'll enjoy reflecting on. Love Always - Coach J Every great idea and movement begins with a few supportive minds collaborating and cooperating. I recently heard a man speak about creating your audience or platform and he mentioned a carpenter from 2500 years ago that started something huge. Many of us have heard of this movement called Christianity. The speaker said that sometimes when we are looking to create an audience for the message we want to share and we are not satisfied with the number of people that subscribe to our email list or visit our blog. Don't be concerned with the number of people that join your podcast, just love each of those that do. develop and refine your message and your audience will share your message and it will grow. His point was Jesus confided in 12 men and grew his message to the world because he was not concerned with the number of followers, he simply loved his audience. Love your audience and find your 12. With that in mind I want to thank each an every one of you that visits my page and shares it with others. Feel free to add a comment or email me for any topic you'd like to see covered or presented to the group. I am not Jesus by any means. I do appreciate and Love each and everyone of you that share a little of each day with me on this blog. Drop me a line - I'd love to hear from you. Love Always - Coach J Should you base your realistic expectations on past events? Doesn't that make sense that you would? If "X" has been happening every time you "Y" then every time you perform "Y" you have a realistic expectation of the result. What if you go into "Y" with a clear understand of the past result and alter your execution slightly to record the outcome will you still receive a realistic outcome? Is having a realistic expectation holding you back? What if we became bold and set our realistic expectations unreasonably beautiful and beyond imagination? What a reality we would live in... Love Always - Coach J Attitude will define your return. If you are seeking great return it would make sense to have a great attitude. If you are not sure what that looks or feels like here is a very easy hint gratitude = a great attitude. Wake each day with a grateful spirit, heart, and words for the day. In each blessing, victory, and challenge be grateful. This is a great attitude to have and from it I promise great return. Love Always - Coach J My Sun was telling me last night about giving your best effort in the moment so you have no doubts. When you give your best in each moment he says you do not have to waste time looking back or wondering about the what ifs. I am honored to hear his message and moved by the part that is most neglected yet yields the most results - action on your knowledge. He was speaking from a place of realization due to action. Take action on your knowledge. Love Always - Coach J |
