The area you fight for, the area of land you love is no different than a piece of land out of your eyesight. The sun will eventually illuminate all surfaces. Enjoy, respect, and honor what you have. Know that once you find peace where you are it can then move across the entire globe.

Having a friend injure his leg recently had me reflecting after he shared how his life has been altered. How lucky we are to have something taken from us for a period of time to appreciate it only to have it promised to return to us at a future date? There can be pain and anxiety in the waiting or expecting of that date where someone who lost a limb truly grieves and must move on with no future promise of its return. Whose pain and suffering is greater? Who is righteous enough to say? What I have learned is when we have a moment to learn from each other or an event that we focus and appreciate all that we have right now and not the future promise of anything. Godspeed to healing and beautiful souls that share their journey.
