Break-Through Mindset |
![]() Nothing better than waking up on a Sunday, cooking some eggs and bacon, then heading out to clean. Not the house, not the car, I am talking a lift that tests your entire body. Some will call it the squat clean, and that is what I am talking about. Pulling a weight from the floor, exploding up and then dropping into a front rack squat then standing up with the weight in a front rack position. Man, Sunday cleaning wore me out this morning and I feel great! The shopping is done and I am about to hit the shower - Sunday is a day of cleaning and preparation, The perfect first day of the week. Go get'um this week! Love Always - Coach J

![]() The strength of little hands. The little ones wake everyday with a sense of adventure and exploration. They are challenged and rewarded. They will learn so many new things in their first 4 years without fear or questions. If we just took that same expectation upon ourselves where would we be in 4 years? They deal with growth physically, they take in an overwhelming amount of information mentally, they adapt and adjust to their surroundings, all while bringing joy and innocence to the party. The little hands are not weak or helpless. They can teach us more about strength that we once had an have forgotten. Love Always - Coach J ![]() I cannot not site the source of this "fact', I heard this the other day on the radio while I was driving in a snow storm. The statistic was that the average American watches 4 hours of television a day. Over the stretch of a normal life the person said that is 13 years. I had been wondering what I could accomplish if I devoted 30 minutes a day to learning an instrument or doing an online study of some sort. After hearing that statistic I would be an idiot not to get started learning something new everyday in place of sitting in front of the Tele. What would you do with 13 "extra" years in your life? Love Always - Coach J ![]() Time. The time you take with others is you adding value to the relationship. What more do you have than your time? Nothing you have to share can be shared without the attention of time from you and the receiving party. Thank you for sharing your most valuable resource with me today. May we use this resource wisely and apply it in the best efforts each day. Love Always - Coach J ![]() Life is a great mystery. You have a body to feed, cleanse, breathe, stretch, work and play. You have friends and family to love, dangers to avoid, lessons to be learned. There is music to be played, music to be enjoyed, art to be expressed, pain to be perceived and overcome. How much of this mystery is in our head, and how much is really happening? It would seem that the real mystery is why we are not present to enjoy the beauty that life is. Life is a great mystery indeed. Love Always - Coach J ![]() Give freely of yourself to worth while causes. The action is most important. Give your best even if it is less than you thought it would be. Your contribution is more than any words you can ever express. Lend a hand, write an article, give a resource - your action makes the difference. So today think of one thing you can do for a worthy cause or person, and as soon as the thought forms complete go do something about it! Love Always - Coach J ![]() We had a ton of fun this weekend - now let's get back to some serious lifting. Lifting our heads from our devices, from our self-centered views, looking up to the universe we can serve. We will give our talents to be shared, critiqued and employed. We boldly step into the day with a fresh spirit and body ready to learn the lessons of the day and give our best. Let's work! Love Always - Coach J ![]() From my point of view one of the many benefits of working hard to the point of discomfort is that when you are complete - you feel accomplished for stretching yourself - but the other bonus is - PLAYTIME! Let's kick back and play tag, swing on the swings, laugh, chase, jump, tickle and just cut up! Love Always - Coach J ![]() The search for greatness is often sought in accolades from an external source. Confirmation that you are great or have done an accomplished work. Yet only you know if you gave your total talent to an effort, only you know what was left on the table. In striving to be great if we simply focus on the smallest of acts and their consequence can we begin to inch towards greatness. Waiting and hoping for confirmation from others to our greatness is a boat moving away from the shore in the current. Walk great, speak great, eat great, love great and if you really want to be truly great - breathe great at all times - the rest will happen. Love Always - Coach J |
