Love Always - Coach J
It's really refreshing to watch old friends unite. Even watching two strangers that clearly had not seen each other in sometime simply light up, embrace and glow from the reconnection. As you read this think of at least one person you can pop in on, or at least call for the reason to say you were thinking about them and they mean a lot to you. Take gauge of how you feel afterword. Recharge, reinvest, reconnect with a good friend.

Recently I was expressing my pain to a loved one. My pain is from an not having a good connection with them and my desire to be more involved in their life. Not to have control or input but simply to have a connection and be someone they keep in touch with - we had not spoken in quite a while. I noticed the their tone changed from defensiveness to understanding when I was expressing my perception and I said "This is not judgment of you or your actions, I am simply expressing my pain". From my reality this is all that I was expressing - my pain, I was not judging their action or lack of action, I was truly expressing the pain I felt from not being connected. I want no control, no input, simply to be connected with and made aware of their safety and well being. Pain comes in many ways and we express it in many ways. Make sure when there comes a time to share your pain that you bring it from that place and not a place of anger or judgment. I hope this serves you well as times of difficulty are few and far between but amplify our emotions making it hard to be objective. Love Always - Coach J Do you know the feeling when you are witnessing classic art in it's purest form? I mean watching a dancer dance with their soul, a painting that you cannot look away from, a photograph that has layers, shades and depth. How about Baroque, Rock, Blues, or Hip Hop? When the artist is in tuned with their essence there is no mistaking the art. Whether you enjoy the medium or not you can recognize the art. I am grateful to align and experience these artists in their element sharing their gift with the world. Love Always - Coach J Look for ways to serve others. I have never felt more accomplished in my work or more fulfilled in my pursuits until I learned to align with what I love and learn how to serve others through it. I always found success financially by serving others so I understood how important service is. The difference was learning to apply what I love to the service I was providing. I know many great people that serve selflessly but are not fulfilled. Self align with your passion and your joy - then serve. You must be energized to serve at the highest level. Serve others by serving yourself like royalty. Love Always - Coach J What would you sacrifice for someone you love? What are you willing to let go or miss out on so someone you love can fulfill their potential and achieve their dreams? Parents do it everyday, spouses have these conversations and make these adjustments. Outside of immediate family are you willing to make these same sacrifices? Are you willing to do small things like miss the game to help someone move? Are you willing to accept that phone call just as your television program is about to start? A little more service in the world and you will find yourself living in a beautiful reality. Love Always - Coach J Do you know a person that waits until the last minute to do some task that have known about for sometime and at the final hour they begin to spaz out and rush to get it done? They realize it will take input and support from others so they try to push your agenda to fit their rushed schedule. You have a choice here - to be helpful to the best of your ability and to have a frank conversation with them regarding your need to stay productive and point out how their behavior is effecting you. Within the framework of this hopefully they will see they are harming others and will correct based on that. If they do not at least next time they know how you feel about it and will not bring their stress to you. If you point this out and continue to assist ask yourself if you are simply enabling this behavior - remember it is not what you say but what you do (or don't do). Bottom line learn how to interact with the fire drill offender and don't be that person - we all appreciate that. Love Always - Coach J As a leader of your home, business, or your life I offer a simple formula to success. Daily, weekly, quarterly, and annually you must have goals. To outline your goals you need to take some reflection time thinking. Part of the thinking and planning steps are to seek advice. Think about where you want to be, what you are best at and what areas you'll need support in. In the planning stage it is similar. What do you execute best and what will you need to enlist aid for? The second part of the planning stage is where you prioritize. You must place an order on your thoughts and actions. What comes first? Nothing else should happen until square one is accomplished. Now you are ready for action. Do what is necessary to achieve your plan. All the positive thinking in the world with awesome plans is fruitless with out action. Pick up the phone, knock on the door, write the manuscript - take the action that leads to the path you seek. The road will rise to meet you once you begin down the path. Love Always - Coach J Yesterday morning as my toddler pondered the consequence of eating the oatmeal placed before him of resting his head on the table for a quick return to slumber he was staring at me, or better said kind of looking through me with an unfocused gaze of someone not fully awake. He then proceeded to make a popping sound with his mouth, like when you are creating a spit bubble and just kind of pop your lips part and have that popping sound. He hit a few different octaves in that sound to which I responded - slowly at first with my own popping sound. Then I switched a few octaves. Then he responded. In my message I told him I love him, he was saying something like I am tired yet this is a fun and strange way to communicate. Those special moments of bonding that you have with family and friends are so intimate they can alter your reality. It made me recall the quote listed below and to encourage each and every one of us that we are restricted by our vocabulary to the volume we may experience life. No need to be eloquent, make a noise of sound of joy, glee, or bliss when you don't know the words to express it properly. Also continue to expand your vocabulary to expand your palate of life experiences. "The world is richer than it is possible to express in any single language” – Ilya Prigogone Love Always - Coach J Imagine your social life if all of your closest friends are incredible, gourmet chefs that enjoy sharing their latest inspired creations with you. What do you think those gatherings would look, taste and smell like? Do you think by nature you'd pick up a few tips and tricks and as a result become a better chef to some degree? What if your circle consisted of athletes and physical trainers? What do you think your body and health would look like? What if you spent quality time with entrepreneurs and savvy investors? Take a close look at the people you give your time to. Once you do that consider the contribution you make to the group. If you chose you can and will grow into what ever you want to be. You can help direct your growth and aid your results by the circle of influence you keep. Love Always - Coach J |
