Learning. One of the wisest (and most successful) businessmen I know is also one of the most open to new ideas and perspectives. He is always willing to listen and adapt new strategies or thoughts. He is also willing to draw a hard line when he sees someone heading in a direction that he knows will result in a loss. He is not afraid to speak up or passive by any means, however I have been struck by his open nature. He is like a child in the enthusiasm he brings to learning new things or at least hearing them out each day. No matter his success he's never stopped learning. What a lesson in action. I am grateful I have witnessed it because I have heard this advice before but seeing it in action, having a frame of reference to model is beyond explanation for my ability to accept the lesson.

When creating a meal their is a recipe you should follow if you want a desired outcome. Part of that is using the proper ingredients. Substituting salt for sugar will give you an extremely different outcome. What is the meal you are preparing? Is it a strong family, a healthy financial future, a closer relationship with your friends? The ingredients/ things you put into your time will alter the outcome. Do you need to add a little more of an unconditional listening ear? Maybe a steady dose of predetermined money set aside for future saving? Proactively planning time for friend? The slightest ingredient will shape the final outcome. Take a look at the outcome you desire and see if you are adding the correct ingredients and measurements of each to prepare for the cooking time. If the ingredients are not correct they will never withstand the heat of life that it takes to cook your meal. Take a close look at what your plan is, take inventory of the ingredients, add the appropriate measurements, be patient during the cook time and earn the meal that you are cooking. No fast food brings any real nutritional value. Love Always - Coach J You cannot eat the harvest in the middle of seeding season. Sometimes when you are seeding the weather does not cooperate with your expectations, sometimes the seed doesn't take, and sometimes the soil is not fertile. You life and you learn but the natural order is that you must seed to receive a harvest. For those of us in the midst of seeding, keep the good and steady hand. Continue your work with the focus on the finish line because you know why you started. In the end you must earn the beautiful words "well done, my good and faithful servant". Keep the faith, keep your vision, and never give up your work. Love Always - Coach J Yesterday I addressed the topic of Father being the Source. You are like that from which you came. An apple comes from an apple tree. Certain genetic factors and traits will come from your physical father. Other traits will come from your eternal source, the source of all life. To be able to resource the original love, compassion, wisdom and understanding is a blessing to say the least. Look into your life and see where you can be a resource for someone else. You don't need to have all the answers, check in with your source and channel them. It is a complement to your connection to the source to be considered resourceful. Love Always - Coach J Abba from Aramaic origin can be translated as the most intimate for of Father, such as "papa" = endearing in its nature. Ask yourself what would you have such an endearing attachment or emotional reaction to? Now look at the translation of Abba to mean Source. When you look at the father as the source you realize all comes from him through you. You are a representation of the source. Connect to the source to have a full, rich and endearing connection with others. The original Source, the Creator of all is your Abba. Do not be clouded by Earthly representations of Fathers. We all do our best on Earth to reflect the one true Abba, yet we are still only human in form. Connect to your original source. Love Always - Coach J Take a moment and think about how it feels when someone genuinely takes an interest in a project you are working on, your health or your family. It is a feeling of warmth mixed with excitement. We love to share information about things we are passionate about. When we share a goal we are chasing we feel stronger and more at peace with that goal when we can say it out loud and have another person really get behind us on it. Our language calls this taking interest in someone. Interest means we are curious or want to learn more about a topic or person. Anytime we project this type of energy we are feeding the other person. It also means a regular payout on an investment or loan. You have invested in this person and they will keep you updated regularly to keep the energy level maintained - this is interest. It is a self filling energy source. With this in mind when is the last time you really took interest in something someone you love is doing? Find that thing that excites them and ask them to tell you all about it and where they are going with it. Offer to be a resource or reference even if it is no more than just a work of encouragement from time to time. As you are taking interest in others, take note of those that take interest in you. Show them gratitude and return interest to there investment in you. Love Always - Coach J I enjoy sharing my insights. I feel great when I see a light bulb kick on for someone when I share an idea, thought or perspective. I look at them and see potential and hope I've been a resource that brings them a step closer to taking action, or an influence that maintains their progress, maybe even improves it. What humbles me to tears is when I see potential in a person and seek to share in their development and I see them take the lesson, appreciate it, multiply it and demonstrate on a level that I didn't even see within them! Just blowing the doors off of all expectations. Like a small stick of dynamite - you look at something and believe it is powerful, yet small and you teach it and tell it - you're powerful, you're bigger than you know. Then you spark the fuse and it blows up bigger than you ever imagined. The greatness within each person is amazing. Even when I think I know it all and believe what others can do I still see demonstrations that humble me. I am reminded to listen to my teacher and mentors and strive to blow the doors off of what it is that they see in me. Thank you for listening to me when I have a lesson, thank you for sharing when you have one. Gratitude with no expectation leads to a world full of wonder and inspiration. Love Always - Coach J This morning I am reflecting on the most simple yet deepest of lessons. We are born into a Kingdom as citizens. Our Kingdom is that of wisdom, Love, and limitless abundance. Everything that we are surrounded by is made for us to command. Yet our focus can shift or slip at times to be commanded by our surroundings. Regain your royal position and make direction of your surroundings. The world truly is yours. Love Always - Coach J You are the champion of your life. Only you know what you can accomplish and what you should have accomplished. It is not for you to judge yourself against another. Their purpose and drive are not yours. Their gifts are not yours, their story is not yours. You have been given specific gifts to execute on your time here and only you can discover them and share them with the world. You are a champion, but no one else can crown you, only you will know when you have achieved the crown and how sweet that is when you know in your heart you are doing what you came to do. If you are not sure about your purpose, such has how to discover it or next steps once you have discovered it drop me an email or comment below. I'd love to be part of your magnificent story. Love Always - Coach J Experiencing a new joy through someone you love is so amazing. Watching them learn something new or just watching them be fulfilled and in a joyous place just charges me up. Watching your son catch his first fish, your smallest child build a puzzle on their own, you older children become amazing young adults, and dancing the night away with your wife like you've just met and she has your heart in the palm of her hand all over again feels so good. If you haven't had a first time with the ones you love in a while do so tonight. Buy a something or prepare a new dish for dinner. Lay out a blanket in the floor and have dinner like a picnic with no TV on. Anything to have a first time experience each day with the ones you love. Love Always - Coach J |
