Love Always - Coach J
Yesterday teaching my youngest son about giving we were going through clothes that he had outgrown that we would donate. As I looked around his room I knew it was time for him to learn to part with some of the toys he has accumulated. As I laid out his impressive hot wheels collection I had two show boxes, one for "other kids" and one for him. He lined all the cars up and started slow at first picking up one car and talking about it then deciding if he would give it away or not. As he placed the first car in the giving box he began to move rapidly through all of the cars and before I knew what was happening all of them were in the giving box. I figured he misunderstood so I explained that he was giving them all away to other kids, to which he said "Okay". So I went through this scenario a few more times going as far as asking about specific cars "Are you sure you don't want to keep this one?" and he would say no. I found my lesson to him end up being one for me. My giving heart had a limit and his did not. Care for what you teach your children as they will take it and multiply the lesson.
