you can't see what you can't see

I often write to the importance of your friend and family circle.  I write about the importance of a network.  Being not only social animals we need this but also we have blind spots that will go unnoticed our entire life without someone to point them out.  Case in point - I have been writing a book proposal and I shared it with a group of friends to review for me.  I have looked over this document many times and felt it was ready.  One of my friends sent it back with the most common edits I couldn't believe I missed.  Simple things like spelling Feelings as Fillings - or Know as Now.  The same things that drive me crazy when I see someone else make that mistake - I was making!  Our eyes become trained to see what they want to see, so use your network to see your blind spots.
