Many times when I write about trying new things it is usually in some pursuit of knowledge or a physical stretch. Rarely is it about looking into any type of home or auto repair. I enjoy paying professionals in these fields. Yet when I do take the time to research a skill trade and get a little elbow grease from taking on a challenge such as these I feel a great reward. This is out of my comfort zone and the stakes are high when you are working on your home or vehicle. Yet - when a job of physical labor is complete the satisfaction of cleaning the grime off your hands cannot be matched. Get dirty - stretch yourself.

Welcome to my world! It's a satisfying place.
It is strange and uncomfortable to me to have someone else do a lot of manual repairs or maintainance for me. I have done them myself in the past learning and experimenting, or have worked side by side with a friend who was already skilled so I can have a strong idea. Succeed or fail, it would be by my hands.

And yes, very little matches the victory of the scrub down once the tools are put away.
