The view from the sideline - or back of the room is totally different from that of the leader, player or participant. A chance to be an objective observer is a responsibility to take note, learn and apply what you see from this perspective. If you are the leader, player or participant it will suit you well to have an objective observer debrief the performance and keynotes from the performance.

That is when a variety of hats must come in.
I have had to critique friends and let them know when they were lacking, and what they excelled at. Heck, I have even had that same conversation with one of my managers lately-
