the objective eye

There is a place none of us can sit yet all of us do.  It is the objective eye of the observer.  We apply it best to others and seem to have blind spots when applied to ourselves.  We can use it best in an area of expertise.  The metaphor of a child playing a sport you coach.  At the beginning of the season you observe their strengths, and areas of opportunity.  You can see what they should develop and what limitations they have.  You will work with them to create the complete player they can be.  You see this before the player and sometimes even the parent can.  You are objective and can offer the development path to help them grow.  See who you can lend an objective eye to and help through coaching.
