The map is not the territory

Plan and plot your course of action. Know where you are headed. Much like planning a trip on a map you will find the route you take will encounter nuances that were not labeled on the map either because they did not exist at the time the map was made, or they are fine details that the map could not capture. A map will not tell you what the weather will be during your journey. Many factors are variables. 
As you plan your life and move forward in your plans know the journey will encounter unplanned challenges. Without a plan you will end up where ever the wind blows you. When plans or conditions change along your journey know that is simply part of progress. 
Make the plan, then get out in the real world and make it happen.
