Yesterday I jumped off the high dive and was on cloud 9. Today I watched my team-mates jump for their first time. I didn't think I could be more pumped than I was yesterday, however watching others develop and not only "go for it" but to soar has me inspired. No matter what you are facing, how challenging it looks and how good you feel after slaying the giant, know there is someone glowing with pride that watched you grow. Love Always - Coach J

A Fencer's Prayer

Dear God,

I thank you for this body.

I thank you for the muscles that are strong and quick
and true.

I thank you for these hands, these feet, these eyes.

I thank you for this mind.

I thank you for the reflexes and control that keep me,
and others safe.

Dear God,

I thank you for my brothers at arms and the friendship
we have grown.

I thank you for the need to learn.

I thank you for the skill to teach others to find how they
are much more they ever knew they could be.

I thank you for the knowledge that I can be more than I
ever knew I could be.

I thank you for a heart big enough that I celebrate their
victories, even at my own defeat.

Dear God,

I thank you for the joy of it.

I thank you for the laughter of it.

I thank you for the love of it.

Above all, I thank you for the Fight.
