roll the dice

How many calculated risks do we take each day and never even think twice about?  Walking on a wet floor, speeding on the highway, walking down a flight of stairs with our hands full.  We have comfort gained by repetition in these acts but they are no less risky because of what we call fate.  If there is meant to be a fall, there will be a fall - however you have played your odds well to practice and have as much foresight and control of each situation as you can.  With this in mind, control what you can but never be afraid to roll the dice!
