Yesterday I observed a presentation that asked us to perform this exercise. Write down the number of people you come in contact with on a daily average at your work place. Then write down the number of people they come in contact with daily. Now write how many days a week you are at the workplace. Last write how may weeks in a year you are interacting at the workplace. You may work with five people (line 1), who see five other people a day (line 2), five days a week (line 3) 48 weeks a year (line 4). With this very conservative math my actions on one day can effect 6000 people in that year. One bad day can ripple through to 6000 people... We've looked at this through a very small workplace window. Look at this and include your family interactions, grocery store trips, neighbors, and phone calls. How many people do you interact with on some level on your commute to the workplace? In those few seconds of experience with you are you improving their day or making it more difficult. I as you to consider the impact of the ripples you generate as they compound into tidal waves as they expand. Will you overwhelm the world with joy or pain? It starts with the ripple. Thanks to Keith Mercurio for his latest presentation of "What's your And?" I hope to have the full length version of this video posted for you to experience the impact of this lesson in the future. Our attitude affects those around us. We can influence others by the mood we are in whether we want to admit it or not. If we regard ourselves as leaders or not we do affect the world. As proof read on.

Though I have to remind myself frequently, I do try to keep the focus at work on a few simple things. Every one of these people has stood in line, in all kinds of weather to do something they do not want to do and do not understand. It makes it easier to be nice, to take an attitude of guidance, and help them feel more in control of their life with knowledge when they leave. I like to think that when I do remember all that, that I am a good ripple-
