ride the wave

The ride of life can be choppy at times and pretty smooth at others.  When the wave has you at its apex and you are riding high the view is amazing, the rush is addictive and the rush is irreplaceable.  When you are crashed by a large wave you are blind to which way is up, you can only think of taking a breath, and you may question why you got on the wave in the first place.  Some waves we jump on voluntarily, and some come out of nowhere.  I'll ask you to consider that from top to bottom of the wave you are still you.  The wave does not define you, the injuries or the adrenaline is not who you are they are passing phases.  Do not fear the wave, know they are always out there so do what you can to chose the wave you'll ride.
