results

Yesterday I wrote about the outer and inner critic.  Today let's look at a behavior that can fuel that critic.  I believe that life is all about results.  The result of the way we work, the way we love, the way we communicate.  This approach has us consider what we put into our actions to gain the results.  The danger when you only focus on results is a results at any cost mentality.  That is ultimately unhealthy and a short term approach to sustaining your desired results.  Take care in each relationship you cultivate in your journey to the desired result.  Enjoy the journey, meet the people and processes fully.  Understand them and respect the potential as well as the result.  I am not suggesting you settle for something less than what you have set out to achieve.  You are responsible to make adjustments and refine your approach until you have the desired outcome.  I am simply sharing that steamrolling or shortcutting is never a long term solution.
