opposites

To know something is good you must know that something else is bad.  Did you know how much you enjoyed ice cream before you bit into a lemon peel?  I am sure you can have enjoyment for the ice cream but referencing it against the sour taste of a lemon and it's peel give you a spectrum of reference.  Sometimes you have to trek through the tough times to know the pendulum swings both ways.  You must experience life in all of its offerings to be well rounded.  Not something you read in a book or see in a movie - you must breath it, soak in it and realize it.
