Creation of a new habit is one of the great working ideas of our era. One way of making movement in an area is to begin with subtle changes towards the new direction. Take a little piece of what you are working towards and apply the adjustment to your life in building increments daily. Some changes can be done quickly and immediately, how ever make sure if you are stopping an action that you have another to replace it. Otherwise your old habit will return if you are simply counting on will power to uphold the change. Anther strategy is to attach the new behavior to an existing behavior or habit. For example if you want to remember to start going for a jog in the morning simply have your jogging gear sitting in the restroom and when you wake, use the restroom and do not leave the restroom until you have your gear on - shoes and all.
