giving thanks

If you have a hard time being thankful each day I offer one solution that really works for me.  When you feel down, upset, depressed, pinned in a corner - or some other type of self serving self pity party simply take a moment before you eat and realize there are many without.  Some with nothing.  Even if what you are about to partake in is not the finest of meals, please realize the simple act of sustaining your body through eating is a miracle in itself.  A meal is a prayer for your body.  Be happy, be pleased, and be grateful / thankful.
