Taking the time to gather more information is always in your best interest. I am not offering that you delay all decisions and suffer analysis paralysis - you must act on the information you have. What I am warning against is standing so firm to your guns that you do not even step back and remove your eyesight from your scope to see if anything else in the line of fire has changed. If you only have one shot it is best to take it with the best information you can gather. Avoiding research because you may be found to be incorrect or your unwillingness to consider outside information can be detrimental.
