dis-appointment

When you have an expectation you set an "appointment" or expected event in your mind.  When that expectation is missed then you may feel a certain way.  A missed appointment based on an expectation is not even a real event.  It is something you imagined and hoped for but it was never real.  Even when it comes to pass it is not always as you envisioned it.  Fear not of disappointment, in it's place find acceptance and the lesson of the moment.
