The simple act of speaking to people in public and not having any expectation of where the conversation will go is an amazing gift. I have not ever been a person to just "strike up" a conversation. I have been adding this to my daily routine and I am meeting the most amazing and interesting people, many of them aligned with my purpose. Some have a one or two pass exchange, others I have grown to keep in touch with. You may not find a gem everytime you uncover your surroundings, but you never will if you never uncover at all.
