Love Always - Coach J
Yesterday I addressed the topic of Father being the Source. You are like that from which you came. An apple comes from an apple tree. Certain genetic factors and traits will come from your physical father. Other traits will come from your eternal source, the source of all life. To be able to resource the original love, compassion, wisdom and understanding is a blessing to say the least. Look into your life and see where you can be a resource for someone else. You don't need to have all the answers, check in with your source and channel them. It is a complement to your connection to the source to be considered resourceful.

Abba from Aramaic origin can be translated as the most intimate for of Father, such as "papa" = endearing in its nature. Ask yourself what would you have such an endearing attachment or emotional reaction to? Now look at the translation of Abba to mean Source. When you look at the father as the source you realize all comes from him through you. You are a representation of the source. Connect to the source to have a full, rich and endearing connection with others. The original Source, the Creator of all is your Abba. Do not be clouded by Earthly representations of Fathers. We all do our best on Earth to reflect the one true Abba, yet we are still only human in form. Connect to your original source. Love Always - Coach J Take a moment and think about how it feels when someone genuinely takes an interest in a project you are working on, your health or your family. It is a feeling of warmth mixed with excitement. We love to share information about things we are passionate about. When we share a goal we are chasing we feel stronger and more at peace with that goal when we can say it out loud and have another person really get behind us on it. Our language calls this taking interest in someone. Interest means we are curious or want to learn more about a topic or person. Anytime we project this type of energy we are feeding the other person. It also means a regular payout on an investment or loan. You have invested in this person and they will keep you updated regularly to keep the energy level maintained - this is interest. It is a self filling energy source. With this in mind when is the last time you really took interest in something someone you love is doing? Find that thing that excites them and ask them to tell you all about it and where they are going with it. Offer to be a resource or reference even if it is no more than just a work of encouragement from time to time. As you are taking interest in others, take note of those that take interest in you. Show them gratitude and return interest to there investment in you. Love Always - Coach J I enjoy sharing my insights. I feel great when I see a light bulb kick on for someone when I share an idea, thought or perspective. I look at them and see potential and hope I've been a resource that brings them a step closer to taking action, or an influence that maintains their progress, maybe even improves it. What humbles me to tears is when I see potential in a person and seek to share in their development and I see them take the lesson, appreciate it, multiply it and demonstrate on a level that I didn't even see within them! Just blowing the doors off of all expectations. Like a small stick of dynamite - you look at something and believe it is powerful, yet small and you teach it and tell it - you're powerful, you're bigger than you know. Then you spark the fuse and it blows up bigger than you ever imagined. The greatness within each person is amazing. Even when I think I know it all and believe what others can do I still see demonstrations that humble me. I am reminded to listen to my teacher and mentors and strive to blow the doors off of what it is that they see in me. Thank you for listening to me when I have a lesson, thank you for sharing when you have one. Gratitude with no expectation leads to a world full of wonder and inspiration. Love Always - Coach J Is there anything more adorable than watching an infant or toddler hug a soft stuffed animal. I mean those stuffed animals that have just the right filling and the irresistibly welcoming exterior. The ones that are so plush you sneak a hug in here and there because they are so comforting. To watch a child hug that toy and the comfort that consumes their entire being from body to soul fills me with joy simply watching their innocence and security be reinforced through that moment of pure bliss. Go out today and find a stuffed animal and close your eyes, go back to your childhood and hold on for dear life - forget where you are and who you think you are and just enjoy that moment of bliss and freedom. Tell me how it felt in the comment section below. Love Always - Coach J I have written before that the current marketing of television is to position children at the head of the household. To be the voice of reason and to have clear judgment and understanding. Parents are painted as silly or dimwitted while the child is sarcastic or victimized and has to create their own solutions. This is pretty common in the cartoon and teenage sitcoms. I thought of this while reading an article yesterday from Dr. Mercola's website - here is an excerpt: "Not only do these children spend $40 billion a year on snacks, toys, and electronics, using money given to them by their parents or family members, they also exert a powerful influence on their parents' spending. As noted in the documentary film Consuming Kids, children under 12 influence adult spending worth a staggering $700 billion a year, which equates to the combined economy of 115 of the world's poorest countries." In an attempt to gain market position we are severely damaging our culture and the natural order of support and guidance. We are becoming consumers more than we are providers of knowledge, information and guidance. As a parent or even a leader in your community it is time to invest in our youth, hear their concerns, take true interest in supporting their development and show them the wisdom that comes with age supporting the innovation and energy of youth. Love Always - Coach J Last night during the most intense thunder and lightening storm we have had of the spring I have to admit I had one of the deepest most relaxing slumbers I have had in some time. The bedroom window was cracked so I could hear the downpour. At some point in the night there was a crack of thunder that shook the house and I expected the children to wake a little disturbed. I heard no stirring and fell back to sleep quickly. In the midst of this intense event I was able to rest. It is amazing that having a sound home (family, values, knowledge of self and God) as well as house (physical support) can get you through all kinds of storms. Love Always - Coach J Experiencing a new joy through someone you love is so amazing. Watching them learn something new or just watching them be fulfilled and in a joyous place just charges me up. Watching your son catch his first fish, your smallest child build a puzzle on their own, you older children become amazing young adults, and dancing the night away with your wife like you've just met and she has your heart in the palm of her hand all over again feels so good. If you haven't had a first time with the ones you love in a while do so tonight. Buy a something or prepare a new dish for dinner. Lay out a blanket in the floor and have dinner like a picnic with no TV on. Anything to have a first time experience each day with the ones you love. Love Always - Coach J The title of the picture says "Mother Natures Treadmill". What fuel do you feed your body? Is it balanced and refreshed? What fuel do you feed your mind? Is it insightful and refreshing? Do the things you take into your body and mind inspire you? Inspire means to fill with spirit. You do not have a spirit. You are a spirit. Feed it. Do not dampen or hide it with poor choices that muddy your connection to it. Cleanse the connection and shine with brilliance. The first place to start is the fuel you feed your body and mind. Love Always - Coach J I will care for you now so that you may grow. I will wash you now so you know cleanliness. I will provide for you now so you need not work. I will teach you now so you can understand the lesson. I do these things as a reference point for you to draw from as you grow. And once you are grown you will know the righteous ways to carry yourself and even grow and develop other individuals. Even at that time if you'd like to revisit lessons with me, I'd be honored. Now, Later, and Forever. Love Always - Coach J |
