Love Always - Coach J
Have you noticed that when you surround yourself in a new environment you begin to pick up and use certain phrases that you never had before that are native to this new group you are surrounded by? Have you ever been in a relationship and started to work on yourself to change and you noticed your old habits in your mate? When you are projecting a certain behavior it is justified in your mind and makes sense. When you shift your belief and see others holding that belief it seems distant and strange. This is an opportunity for you to be at peace with understanding that each of us are in different stages of development at all times. None better or more correct than another. Just different.

Are you the same person everywhere you go? Do you have multiple sides? Why do you chose what you show? Many of us live this way. For the few that live without "sides" I ask do you show all the way through to what is inside? You are one version consistently on the outside but what is inside? Transparency can feel like vulnerability but it can be true freedom. Your inside is always shining - do not be afraid to share. Love Always - Coach J Lessons come and go. Sometimes they are old lessons reappearing and other times they are new. When an unfamiliar lesson is upon you simply focus on the end result you must achieve and go through the motions of resolving the lesson. When you are in the flow of life, lessons come and go and you can observe them objectively and respond appropriately. Love Always - Coach J Move in your own time and everything that is meant to be yours will fall into your lap. You can be smooth and gentle and still receive great results. If you are aware of the signals around you the message will be clear on the action steps to take. Over time water is stronger than stone. Water is gentle and smooth and persistent. It is not focused on anything else - it goes where it wants and has no concept of time. Be smooth, be consistent. Love Always - Coach J Coach Maurice Tyler prints out a quote on the bottom of all his documents from his preseason coaches meeting, to the practice schedule, to the end of season wrap up - that quote is "No Excuses, No Explanations." I love this in all walks of life. Be direct, be intentional. If someone asks you if you want to join their outing and you don't want to just say no thank you. You do not need to explain. Be sound, be solid. Love Always - Coach Julian |
